The Mystery of Discount Pearls

discount pearlsPearls are so pretty. They come from the ocean, they’re water-jewels. As a result they look different than other gems, glossier, like the surface of the ocean at sunset; pearlescent, one might say…

The iridescence of mother of pearl, or nacre, is a result of thick aragonite platelets close to the wavelengths of visible light interfering constructively and destructively with other wavelengths of light. That’s why when we look at it at different angles it shimmers. How fine pretty discount pearls look as we walk around  the lobes of a fine ear, or a long, slender neck.

There’s also a certain mystery imbued into every set of discount pearls. They come from the bottom of the ocean, almost as far away and unknown as outer space. There aren’t jewels from outer space. The conditions aren’t right. Although it would be cool to wear a moon rock around your neck, it wouldn’t look as good as a beautifully cultured pearl or piece of womens diamond jewelry.

So if you want to treat yourself or get a loved one to a set of discount pearls it would be pretty hard to let her down. They’re classy, beautiful, and mysterious. Hmm, sounds like someone I know…
